OUR TEAM
Arianna Amill-Ramos MA, LPC
Seeing your child or adolescent navigate difficult feelings, behavioral struggles, or mental health concerns can feel daunting as a parent or caregiver. Although working through these hurdles brings uncertainty, it creates an opportunity to build resilience, growth, and connection. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself, feel understood,
and build the confidence and skills to navigate life’s challenges.
Specialties & Experience
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, providing therapy in both English and Spanish. I have experience working with clients in nonprofit, community mental health, and school settings, which has given me the opportunity to work with individuals and families from a variety of backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns. I especially enjoy working with children and teens experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation challenges, and sports performance concerns.
As a former athlete, I understand firsthand the unique pressures and challenges that can come with competitive sports. I have a particular interest in helping young athletes navigate performance anxiety, confidence, perfectionism, pressure, motivation, and setbacks. Together, we can develop mental skills that help athletes feel more confident, focused, resilient, and prepared—both in their sport and in everyday life.
Approach
My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s individual needs. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), and Play Therapy. Incorporating humor, creativity, and play to make therapy engaging and approachable.
My goal is to help each client develop greater confidence, emotional awareness, resilience, and self-understanding while building skills they can carry with them beyond the therapy room.
Education
I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a concentration in children and adolescents, and my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Lewis University.
Outside of the Therapy Room
Outside of therapy, I enjoy trying new coffee shops, going for runs, and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy playing the ukulele and drums and catching up on some of my favorite TV shows.
